Hungry Hearts is the latest addition to my Holiday Romance novella series. It’s my first publication in over five years, and I’m glad to be back in the game.

Of course, I’m biased but I think you are really going to enjoy this one. I know I enjoyed writing it. Special thanks goes to Jill Domschot for editing/proofreading the story, and to Odd Mr. T for the cover art.

Hopefully you can guess by the cover that Hungry Hearts is Thanksgiving-themed!

Here are the specifics:

For Leah Freeman, rock bottom is a near-fatal trip to the ER, brought on by years of binging and purging. Leah is rescued by her mother, who takes her in while she completes intensive out-patient therapy. Newly married to a wealthy CEO, her mother’s house has plenty of bedrooms, including one for their old neighbor, Gabe Owens, who is also down on his luck.

Leah remembers Gabe as a seven year old in a Superman cape, but now he’s a handsome man. Still struggling with a damaged self-image, she’s surprised by his flirtations. As much as she enjoys his attention, she must decide whether romance and eating disorder recovery can coexist.

Hungry Hearts is different from the other novella’s in the series in two ways: the subject matter is darker, and it’s 30K longer. I originally anticipated each novella to be around 20K-words, but Hungry Hearts tops out at 50K+. And that’s okay. Leah is a complex character and, therefore, her story took longer to resolve.

Currently my Holiday Romance Series is Kindle-exclusive and is available only in ebook. This will change in the future. I plan to bundle the stories by season for the print copies, and eventually I will make all the stories available from multiple retailers. As a one-woman shop, these things take time, so thank you for being patient!

In 2021, I plan to publish Fall Hearts (Halloween and Thanksgiving) in print copy, so watch this space! Please subscribe to my newsletter if you’d like to stay up-to-date on my latest releases.

As always, if you pick up Hungry Hearts, consider leaving a review. It helps me more than you can imagine.
